GEORHYTHMS
For thousands of years people have observed the heavens looking for signs by which to plant their crops, organize their lives and worship their gods. As the understanding of our environment has expanded it has been shown that in numerous instances, ancient traditions were founded more in fact than in fiction.

Cycles of the so-called heavenly bodies and other external elements do in fact influence the actions of humankind as a whole as well as those of the individual. The most obvious of these cycles are the rotation of the planet Earth on its' axis, the motions of the Moon around the Earth and of the Earth around the Sun.

These cycles and rhythms correspond to our daily, monthly and yearly activities as our clocks and calendars meter them out. In addition to these more obvious cycles, our bodies, in particular the brain, central nervous system and endocrine system respond to numerous other rhythms and cycles on a continuous basis. This becomes evident when we study our level of alertness, the intermittent flow of hormones into our bodies and the ebb and flow of our emotional states. These conditions or states are often cyclic by nature and their connection to outside rhythms is easily demonstrated; when these influences are understood and plotted, the effect on human experience becomes predictable and we are able to add great depth to the analysis of human behavior patterns.
